South Africa’s Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene is on an investors roadshow in London talking credit ratings, land reforms and financial stability… in an effort to persuade international investors and credit rating agencies alike that the country is on the right track economically. Minister Nene has held talks with Moodys and Fitch ratings agency this ahead of an upcoming review of the country’s credit rating by Moody’s later this month. The Minister has also been speaking about Pretoria’s hopes of raising $3billion dollars or 35 billion rands on international bond markets.
Our correspondent Catherine Drew caught up with him in between his meetings and asked him firstly what sort of reception he had received in London.
